We left Holbrook, AZ on Saturday morning at 7:00 a.m. and made a beeline for South Fork, Colorado. We were anxious to get up here to see our friends Bobbie and Jim so pee and gas stops were our only diversion...we got here around 6:00. Really pretty area....surrounded by mountains and clear mountain streams that are running pretty full from the snow melt. The evenings have gotten into the high 30's overnight so by morning I'm reachin' for another blanket on the bed or cranking the electric mattress pad up a notch...Brrrr...that compared to nights in the 70's in Holbrook. Daytime temps have been really nice....low 80's, high 70's. Loving it !
On the Friday before we left Arizona our water pressure started acting up. I went out and messed around, checking things but couldn't figure out what was going on. Since it was late in the day, I figured once I got up here I'd deal with it. Arrived here and same thing; turn on faucet. Water pressure ok for first second, then down to a trickle. Hmmm...Jim stopped down and couldn't resolve it between the two of us so they gave us name of mobile tech in area. We figure in meantime we could fill the fresh water tank and run the water pump to use that till he comes by. Well, that didn't work either. Turn the pump on and it blew water right out the city inlet. Now we were really perplexed. Matt, the tech came by this afternoon and turns out it was what Jim and I figured it to be....check valve on city inlet. When we had taken the three screws out to pull the check valve out, it wouldn't budge. It did the same thing with the tech so he's dismantling everything to try and figure out how to get access to backside of inlet. Finally he tries pulling again on inlet and it comes out. It had been getting hung up on the crimped thing on the water line....catching on side of opening. Duh !! Thank goodness he was really fair about his billing as it was a 5 minute job (that I could have done) that turned into an hour one, due to refastening, re-caulking, etc. I got a good re-caulking job out of it though on three different areas of the rig. Oh, the things we learn on this RV'ing adventure of ours ! Tis nice to have running water again although the showers here at Moon Valley are pretty awesome !
We are only 2 miles from Bobbie and Jim's campground so Moon Valley is really convenient for us to skip up to see them. We watched the race together yesterday and hope to have some outings in the coming week that we are here.

Crazy Busy..
We moved this morning to Brighton, Colorado. Only about 45 minutes from Johnstown. On the way we were scheduled to get our truck and rig tires balanced at Transwest. We got there and found out that the tech who was scheduled to work on our rig is out to a training class all this week and next so we didn't get it done and have to go back, on two separate trips, to get them done. The tech is on an evening schedule so we'll get the truck done some night after work and we're still trying to figure out when we get the rig done.
Yeah so last week was really crazy busy. Johnstown is proving to be our best assignment yet and it's a new park to boot. Advertisers have been calling us evenings and e-mailing us to get in the guide so we've held the job open to get it all wrapped up.
On Saturday we worked on getting ads put together. Sunday I woke up with a massive allergy attack and felt like I'd been hit by a bus. I finally got my nose to stop running by the afternoon so we went to the Sculpture Park, since we'd heard so much about it. We didn't realize it but Loveland, CO is the sculpture capital of the world...heaven to artists, we were told. This is where artists who are casting sculptures come to get it done. The park is really neat as there are about four different areas, with walking paths throughout, where you can see close to 200 sculptures. Very neat ! We didn't walk the whole four areas but took in one of the areas.
While we were out on Friday, making sales calls, we went by Camping World and picked up a grill. We've been wanting a grill since we went on the road and keep looking at them whenever we get the chance. The thing that always held me back was not knowing where we'd store it. Finally with Camping World running a special on the one we wanted, the decision was made for us. We love it ! I've found a place for it in the basement and it wasn't as hard as I had thought it would be so we waited all those years for nothing. Geez ! We cooked up some yummy veggies Friday night.
Hard to get used to these cool temps here. Missing the warm weather we had in Oklahoma. Hoping we see warm up soon but tonight they are calling for rain. We shall see...

Look at those buns....
There are some serious downfalls to staying right next door to a restaurant that advertises that they have the best cinnamon buns in the world. Especially when it's open 24/7...oh yeah. The bun in this picture is on a dinner plate...that's how huge it is. When we had it for dessert last night, it was alright but when we nuked the remaining piece this morning, at breakfast, it was yumlicious ! (Spell check has a problem with that word but I think it's entirely appropriate.)
Busy day today selling. Johnstown is a cute town. Reminds me of the town I grew up in. Small town with something for everybody in a quaint setting. And what a backdrop the Rocky Mountains make...The campground owner told us, the other day, that usually the road up in the mountains (I think the one that goes through the national park) is usually open by Memorial Day. He said an article in the paper said that it wouldn't be the case this year (due to natural thaw) because there's still 10' of snow up there and that they may need to cut a road through the snow. It's so pretty when the clouds open up over the snow capped peaks and the sun lights them up. Really spectacular ! There's also a crisp freshness in the air, when we aren't downwind of the cattle ranches, that is intoxicating. We found out today that we're picking up more Colorado assignments so between Colorado and Wyoming, we'll be here till September. We're looking forward to exploring more of the area.
Tomorrow night we're going to the dinner theater production of the King and I. Look at the menu choices... We're looking forward to it. Going to celebrate our upcoming anniversaries. We met on May 8,2004...married on May 28th...five years later. We haven't finalized our weekend plans but there's a Moroccan restaurant that I want to take Linda to at some point. Also want to visit friends in the area but might do that when we move down to Brighton in another two weeks. Life is good !
