Relaxing Day Off...

Today we went to Linda's brother's house to enjoy our day off. Although her brother was away on business we had a great day with his wife, Kathie. She took us to their farmer's market where everything comes from south jersey farmers. We got some cukes, eggplant, potatoes, sweet peppers that are really different from what I've ever seen and some tomatoes. Everything looked so wonderful and fresh. Saw an Amish stand where they had a huge platter of home-made veggie burgers that we were tempted to get but didn't. I've never seen a place, other than a restaurant, where they made their own. They looked great ! The whole experience reminded me so much of the market in Florida that we'd go to each week to get our fresh veggies. This was just on a smaller scale without all the crowds.

Across the parking lot was a place called Halo Farms. They have a bottling facility in the front of the store and while we were there they were packaging grape nectar....here you can see the cartons going through the machine. They process a whole lot of different beverages and they were so cheap ! We bought some chocolate milk and that's to die for ! The white milk was only $1.09 for a half gallon...you can't beat those prices with a stick ! We bought some french bread and something else that slips my mind. It's a really cute little place where you can pick up all sorts of wholesome products, while you're right across the way from the farmer's market..one stop shopping at its' best !

Back to work tomorrow but will finish on Saturday...New manager coming tomorrow to start transitioning everything over to her. Got word tonight that they have a new assignment for us so we will probably pull out of here Sunday morning for parts unknown as of right now...We get the details tomorrow. Kind of makes me feel like Mission Impossible...."your assignment, should you decide to accept it, is _______" This tape will self destruct in 30 seconds." Stay tuned for more....
