We left Brighton Wednesday morning and went to get the rig aligned at Transwest. Alignment was really out of whack so we sat till 2:30 for them to finish it. I find it amazing how far out of alignment both the truck and rig can get in short periods of time. I've driven my car for a lot of miles before it ever needs alignment. After leaving the shop, we had to head to our next park in Colorado Springs (only a 2 hour drive)and when we got set up we found more stuff dumped all over inside the rig than we've ever had. Not sure why everything was more topsy turvy than ever....even dishes.
While at the garage, we had to get on a conference call for our company. We learned that our company has been sold to Texas Advertising....another company that does the same type of things that we do. Texas Advertising is a family run business so I think it will a good move for all of us. The President of Texas Advertising is supposed to be calling all of the reps to introduce himself and answer any questions that we have. We're anxious to chat with him when he calls.
We are set up here. It's a large campground but pretty rustic. It feels like we are in a big field with dirt sites. From the pictures in the office, there seems to be a lot of wildlife around. Two guys and a small child were watching a snake out behind our rig this morning. Linda thinks she heard them say it was a rattlesnake.....oh goody ! The pictures on the office wall show bears climbing on the dumpsters. As we were driving out of the campground (after looking at the bear pictures), Linda thought she saw some of those infamous bears in a yard nearby but they turned out to be those wooden cut-outs. Yep, a bear and a cub but the non-moving variety. We are sort of in a canyon, which is apparently why we get hardly any TV reception. We are watching Cosby show re-runs right now on the one English speaking station that we get. I never watched this show the first time it aired so it's all new to me. Lots of card playing over the next two weeks!
Lots of things to see and do in the area. Looking forward to the weekend to get out and see the sights.

What campground are you in? A couple of places to visit would be Garden of the Gods, Cave of the Winds, Seven Falls, and there's a wax museum that is pretty interesting too.
Where next?
