Work

Not much going on here. Just working and trying to get caught up. With there being an auction as soon as we got here, that threw alot more work into the mix of things right off the bat. Today I had about 20-25 units to clean, eleven of those from the auction. Seems to be a busy time for people moving out although we did have a couple of move-ins today. Linda is still trying to resolve things from the auction but it is a struggle to work that in between the phone ringing and people coming into the office. It is very busy at this location. I spent time on the phone getting more bids for cleaning the manager's apartment, steam cleaning the carpet, doing some handyman things and work for a plumber. On top of that, the old managers left alot of stuff in the apartment that I had to haul to the dumpster. The golf cart comes in handy for hauling stuff around.

Other than that we're trying to learn some of the back roads to get to different places....such as shortcuts to the supermarket, etc. A few nights ago we went to Shannon Rose...an Irish pub that has a huge billboard right outside our front door. It looked interesting and our asst. mgr recommended it so we went there. Very neat ! All the food was excellent too.

Such a bummer that it's getting dark earlier and earlier. I adjusted the timer on the exterior lights so they come on at 7:00 p.m. I hate this time of year when it starts to get dark by the end of the work day. Nothing is more depressing than coming home in the dark :(
