The weather has gotten so beautiful and the nights are cool. It’s great at the campground….the river is tranquil and the farmer has planted his crops in the fields in the valley. Bulbs and flowers are emerging and the children come to the playground on a regular basis to play and run. We gotten the motorcycle out several times, went on a ride last Sunday to benefit breast cancer and put the skirt around the front of the RV which will “garage” the bike. The campers are coming around on weekends for their seasonal sites and the smell of campfire fills the cool night air.
On each side of us are guys that are here to work at the power plant as welders. One just left to go home and he is from Florida. The other guy that he shared a 5th wheel with is also from Florida. They are finishing up their jobs and leaving. Gary is also a welder and works the day shift (the other two guys worked all night). He is here with his wife and he will finish within the next week or so and then he will leave to go back home. He only works from Sept. – May and spends the summers at home with his family. They travel all over the country for their company, doing welding jobs. Once Gary and Connie leave, we will be the only RV in this area of the campground. It is peaceful here now but will be even more so once all these guys leave.
